George and I have been discussing this for a good couple hours now. Confirmed by the USGS and its South Korean equivalent. No independent non-seismic confirmations thusfar.

At risk of turning this into a newsfilter, there will almost certainly be more commentary to come --- but at this point, anything else will border on fear and panic. Stay tuned.
