Californian?!?

no, more like, republican. I refuse to recognize one of them as the same kind. Ever notice how all this corruption occurs with the republican officials? Nixon, Scooter Libby, George Bush's entire staff (although they haven't been indicted), Tom Delay, and the latest: Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham. 2.4 million dollar bribes, this new man accepted. So ridiculous...

What does it take to teach politicians that accepting bribes is corrupt, undemocratic, and leads to bad shit happening to them personally when they get caught?

When will it stop?!?!? o_O

Further indepth analysis about corruption.

At least Cunningham admitted it, pled guilty and resigned. That's more than I can say for any of the rest of them.

Regardless, this is a great chance to pick up an open seat in a special election that will likely be arranged to coincide with the June primaries. The 50th district only has a 10-point registration disadvantage--55%R, 45%D--and we have a strong candidate in Francine Busby.

Unfortunately, the residents of the San Diego area have proven that they don't really care about escalating Republican corruption--just look at everything that happened in the most recent mayoral race. But who knows--with enough grassroots support and turnout, anything can happen.
