Innocence? Whatever the hell is Innocence?

The first virtue those feeble of mind propound is innocence - the purity, chastity, "cleanliness" of babies and young girls. But really, how often do people think of what it means to be innocent? It means to have no knowledge to help your judgement. Nobody ever hears of adult men being molested by Michael Jackson; it's the little innocent kids who are happy to be "invited" into MJ's bed. There's a reason why "like taking candy from a baby" means to take advantage of others easily. Any competent, rational person would realize that a hand is coming to take their beloved tootsie roll pop away, and move to avoid it, while the baby sits there innocently until his treasure is wrenched from his grasp. The difference is, normal people get mad when they're about to be screwed; babies cry after they're screwed.

Would you rather be suckered into something in the name of innocence? Do you want to be shielded from the world, and be surprised when reality strikes? Didn't think so. It's ok to have knowledge of the underground. Innocent children are not to be protected in order to preserve that innocence, but because they have yet to learn the lessons of life.
