We Care

We the People of the United States care deeply about the issues and only the issues that form our government.

We are not outraged that our government is spying on us,
We are not outraged that our government denies the wisdom of the Geneva Conventions,
We are not outraged that our government is in favor of torture,
We are not outraged that Habeas Corpus is under fire,
We are not outraged at politicizing "national security" into partisan hackery,
These are not important.

But,

We are outraged about a sex scandal.

We've got all the bases for puritanical morality covered. We're the total shining city on the hill. Go us.
