*Snicker*

I'm having one of those childish moments...

From the Washington Post:

Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), who ran an insurgent campaign calling for change in the face of a widening corruption scandal, was elected today to succeed Rep. Tom Delay (R-Texas) as House majority leader in a come-from-behind upset over the acting majority leader.

Boehner's victory over the presumed front-runner, Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), stunned even him, according to House members attending the closed-door election. It sent a clear signal that most House Republicans were eager for a fresh face to lead the party when the GOP's decade-long control of the House is under threat.

Anybody else think "Boehner" is a rather unfortunate last name?

And it's pronounced BAY-ner...

Jon Stewart: "Rep. Boehner... Spelled 'Bow-ner' but pronounced BAY-ner."

What's even funnier is if you actually pronounce it the German way--which sounds almost exactly like "boner" said with a Schwarzenegger accent.
